April was established as The Month of the Military Child to recognize military families and their children for the daily sacrifices they make. To celebrate the Month of the Military Child, Readeo is offering free six-month subscriptions to military families.

We are excited to provide military children and their families with a service that can help ease the pain of separation through shared reading experiences.

Military families can request their accounts by e-mailing basic information about their military service to mil@readeo.com.

Can any military family get a free Readeo account?

Yes – this program is intended for military families with young children (0 to 8).

Is a Credit Card required?

No. No payment information is required.

How long will this promotion last?

Military families can request free accounts anytime in April. The last day to request a free account will be April 30, 2010.

What will I be able to do with the military family account?

The free military account is equivalent to a paid Readeo Membership and includes full access to the entire Readeo Library. You'll have access for unlimited reading and BookChatting on the site for 6 months.

What happens when my free account expires?

When the free account expires in 6 months, the account will be converted to a free Guest account. You will have the option to continue as a Guest, or you can retain full access to Readeo by upgrading to a Member account. What if I'm in the military and already have a subscription?

That's great - e-mail us at mil@readeo.com, tell us a little about your current military service, and we will add six months to your subscription.

Do my family and friends need Readeo accounts to BookChat with my children?

Yes-anyone you would like to BookChat with will need to set up a free Guest account. They can set up that account from the Readeo home page or by clicking on this link http://www.readeo.com/register/guest.php.
